Children's Ministry Director
I became a Christian at a young age, largely due to the influence of my godly mother and faithful workers/volunteers in the church I attended. I loved learning about Jesus and knew that I wanted to spend my life serving Him and telling other people about Him.
Fast forward many years to when I graduated from seminary in 2001 with a Master of Divinity in Missions, Evangelism and Church Growth. Originally, I planned on being a missionary in Russia, but God had other plans for me! As I was about to leave for the mission field, my now-husband, Bo Fawbush, asked me to marry him and I was no longer eligible to go. We married and had the first of our four amazing children two years later.
I always knew that I wanted to homeschool my children, so when they became school aged, that’s exactly what we did! In 2014, the Lord led us to a homeschooling group called Classical Conversations. Since then, I’ve been tutoring and/or directing the group and have found it a great source of joy! Now, I am using all these skills that I’ve learned through homeschooling in the church setting. I am passionate about children learning the Bible in upbeat and memorable ways and showing them how the Bible can have a great impact on their lives.
When I have free time, I enjoy singing, playing games, and binge-watching shows (especially British shows and detective shows--- it’s a plus if it’s a British detective show!). I also have a menagerie of animals- one dog, two cats, and ten chickens!
