135th day of celebration

We had a beautiful day of celebration and worship to the Good Lord on September 17th celebrating our 135th Anniversary! We had so many wonderful members past, and present show up and celebrate alongside us. There were a few visitors that showed up to worship with us. The day started with Sunday School and onto Morning Service, the worship and praise music, was always a blessing and a chance to lift up praise! Pastor Bo Fawbush gave a great opening welcome and brief history of the church. After the DVBC Kids performed, it was time for the message.

After the morning service, a celebration luncheon was held downstairs. A memorial recipe was the meal meant to honor a member who had passed on, Ms. June. During the luncheon many were able to stand and give a brief praise of what Donelson View meant to them. One of those who spoke, was former pastor, Gary McEwen. At one point, Mike Byrum the music minister was recognized for his 20 years of service to the church. Around the fellowship hall was decorations and a memorial display, as well as historical displays of the 135 years of service to the Lord.

We as a church are thankful to the Lord for His provision and guidance all these years and pray for many more years to come!
